The proposed addition recognizes the opportunity to create a welcoming front that addresses approaching traffic and the church across the appropriately named Church Street.

Programmatically, the apparatus room is expanded by two new bays and an enlarged dispatch room at the street. The new entry to the public social hall, expanded within the existing building, occurs at the center of the façade, and welcomes visitors from parking areas on both sides of Main Street. The gently sloping roof accommodates a public meeting room above the entry at the center of the second floor, with administrative offices toward the street and living quarters to the back of the site. Dormers at the roof ends give prominence to the company's Fitness Center there, and to their Board Room above the new apparatus doors at the street.
