PHILA, PA; MASTERPLAN 2002 CONSULTANT TO PETER F. AARFA ARCHITECTS

This comprehensive Master Plan was completed for the only Catholic Vocational High School in the country, The plan encompassed an evaluative study of both the physical characteristics of the campus buildings and the content of the educational curriculum. The resultant proposal was able to balance the previous investments that had been made in certain spaces with long-term advantages achieved through changes.

The goals for the plan included the creation of educational centers, the redistribution of classroom activities within two buildings, and the reorganization of the classroom spaces in the Main Building according to subject matter rather than by academic level. The final plan achieved a fit between program and facility that retained a close relationship with the ideals initially proposed.
